Introduction to the Utility

This course will introduce you to utility operations as a whole, focusing on water and sewer systems.
This is the first course in two of AWWA's Certificate Programs, including:
Management & Supervision Certificate Program (EL153) and
Utility Management Certificate Program (EL175).

Description
Are you preparing for a career in utility management? This course will introduce you to utility operations as a whole, focusing on water and sewer systems. The course includes a brief introduction to the regulatory environment and covers how to work with regulatory agencies and consent orders. You will learn about the importance of media relations and communications with the public.
This course includes the following modules:
Module 1: Introduction to the Utility.
Module 2: Goals of the Utility.
Module 3: Media Relations.
