Section 1 discusses scope, definitions, references, inspection, workmanship, equipment, and affidavit of compliance. Section 2 discusses materials for construction including Portland cement, pozzolanic material, admixtures, sand and water. Section 3 covers general cement-mortar lining design including composition, proportions, water content, mixing, and thickness of lining. Section 4 discusses methods for construction--rehabilitated pipelines including access openings-general requirements, preparation of pipe surface, machine application of mortar lining, surface finish, hand application of mortar lining, special requirements at laterals and service connections, and curing. Section 5 discusses inspection--rehabilitated pipelines including responsibility of purchaser and contractor, all phases accessible to purchaser, contractor to assist purchaser, pipe inspection procedures, defective lining, repair of defective lining, and guarantee and performance criteria. Section 6 discusses temporary bypass to customers including pipe and materials, procedure, supply of water to feed temporary bypass, and temporary connection to customers. Section 7 discusses contingent work including obstructions and leaking valves. Section 8 discusses methods for construction--new steel pipe including access openings for lining, preparation of pipe surfaces, machine application of mortar lining, surface finish, hand application of mortar lining, special requirements at openings, and curing. Section 9 discusses inspection--new steel pipe and includes responsibility of purchaser and contractor, all phases accessible to purchaser, contractor to assist purchaser, pipe inspection procedures, defective lining, repair of defective lining, protection of lining, and guarantee and performance criteria. Major revisions include: the standard was edited throughout, the definitions of "contractor" and "purchaser" were revised, the definition of "engineer" was deleted, the section on inspection was added, and a number of items relating to contractual provisions were deleted.
