Description

This course introduces learners to the concept of backflow in potable water systems and helps them recognize related issues. The goals and outcomes of the course include identifying backflow and cross connections, understanding the importance of their prevention for the public water supply community, and learning the elements of an effective prevention program.

Additionally, learners will identify various backflow and cross connection devices, comprehend the necessity of maintenance for continuous protection and operation, and recognize the hazards associated with backflow and cross connections.

This course includes the following modules:

Module 1: Backflow Prevention and Cross Connection Control.

Module 2: Hydraulics of Backflow.
