Do I need a separate account, or can I use my AWWA member account?

Your AWWA membership account information was not shared with Competitive Advantage. You will need to create a separate login/password for merchandise orders. 

Is there member/non-member pricing for the items?

Because we haven’t shared membership information with Competitive Advantage, there is only one price. We do plan to offer AWWA member-only promotions and discounts in the future.  

Why is the shipping on one item higher than I expected?

The site is optimized for bulk orders. If you can partner with someone in your utility or company on an order, shipping will decrease dramatically. We’ve kept the pricing reasonable to help offset the higher shipping charges. 

Is AWWA Merchandise returnable?

The transaction is with Competitive Advantage, not AWWA. Competitive Advantage’s return policy is: 

Returns and exchanges are not permitted since each item is made to your order specifications. Decorated garments MAY NOT be exchanged or returned for a different size or for credit. Please carefully consult the sizing chart on every garment to avoid errors when placing your order! Defective items may be exchanged or replaced within 10 days of receipt of merchandise. Please call Competitive Advantage at 1-800-458-3343 for a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA#). No defective merchandise will be accepted without an RGA#.

Are the items available to purchase online only?

Yes, AWWA merchandise is available for purchase online only. However, we will be selling select items on-site at ACE18 in the AWWA Pavilion. 

Can I use a purchase order or can they bill me?

No, Competitive Advantage does not accept Purchase Orders. You will need to prepay for your order.

What if I have a question about a product or my order?

The transaction is with Competitive Advantage. They will handle any customer service inquiries. Please call 1-800-458-3343 and ask for the AWWA Online Store help desk. They also have an online chat feature on their site. 

I would like to order something that isn’t currently on the Competitive Advantage site?

If you have a product idea, we would love to hear about it. Please email We will periodically discontinue items and add new items.

What about International orders? I’m in Canada, but they don’t appear to ship to Canada.

The site is currently optimized for US orders. If you are outside the US, please contact with your request and we will see what can be done. 

I see that there is a “co-branding” option on the site. What does that mean?

There are a few items that allow you to place your company logo on the chest area with the AWWA logo on the sleeve – “co-branding.” If you are interested in doing this with an item that is not currently on the site, please contact
