AWWA D104-23 Automatically Controlled, Impressed-Current Cathodic Protection for the Interior Submerged Surfaces of Steel Water Storage Tanks
SKU: 44104-2023
The purpose of this standard is to provide the minimum requirements for automatically controlled, impressed-current cathodic protection for the interior submerged surfaces of steel water storage tanks, including design, system components, quality of work, and installation.
Description
This standard describes automatically controlled, impressed-current cathodic protection systems intended to minimize corrosion of interior submerged surfaces of steel water storage tanks and 30-in. (750-mm) diameter and larger wet risers of elevated tanks. It does not describe sacrificial (galvanic) anode-type cathodic protection systems or manually controlled, impressed-current systems. This standard can be referenced in specifications for designing and installing automatically controlled, impressed-current cathodic protection for the interior submerged surfaces of steel water storage tanks. The stipulations of this standard apply when referenced and then only to automatically controlled, impressed-current cathodic protection for the interior submerged surfaces of steel water storage tanks.
