Water Treatment Operator Level Three introduces analyses, process troubleshooting, and basic supervisory skills. This is an online instructor-led class. You may structure the course to your own schedule but homework and completion must meet due dates.

Course Dates: October 14 - November 15, 2024.
This course introduces water operations personnel to various analyses and applications of key water treatment processes and operations. The course curriculum is representative of the basic functions and responsibilities of Level 3 operators at most water treatment plants. WTO Level 3 offers a unique combination of advanced process troubleshooting knowledge and introductory preparation for supervisory responsibilities. Also, this course will also help you learn how to manage employees and the legal obligations for regulatory compliance. WTO3 builds upon the Level 2 course by focusing on troubleshooting of operational problems along with analysis of conventional and advanced treatment processes.
This course takes into consideration the Water Professionals International (formerly ABC) Need-to-Know Criteria for water treatment operators. AWWA’s Water Treatment Operator courses are designed to be taken in sequential order. Consider taking Water Treatment Operator Level 2 before this course if you have not already.

Learning Elements: Prerecorded presentations, online learning activities, videos, quizzes, discussion boards, weekly tests, and homework assignments.
Requirements: A minimum of 12 hours per week of online learning activities, for five consecutive weeks. This is an estimation and will be different for each learner.
