Description

This webinar will review the LCRI requirements with a focus on the November 1st deadline and any changes to the regulation as a result of the legal challenges. Attendees will be provided with a printable checklist to stay on track with the requirements in the various areas of the LCRI.

Currently, the baseline inventory is due on November 1, 2027, and this webinar will highlight the risks of having a high number of unknowns in that inventory. The presenters will discuss updates on new technologies and techniques available for identifying unknowns. This webinar will also cover how to prepare an LSLR Program Plan using resources and best practices from AWWA and the LSLR Collaborative, along with the current funding landscape for investigations and replacements, and how these factors may impact budget planning.

In addition, the webinar will address changes to tap sampling that water systems need to be aware of for 2028, including changes to tiers, sampling protocols, and a lower action level, as well as steps water systems can take now to prepare. Lastly, the presenters will review actions water systems can take to prepare for school and childcare sampling programs. At least 20 minutes will be reserved at the end for the expert panel to answer attendee questions.
