This course is the eighth in an AWWA's series on Utility Management Certificate Program (EL175).

  • Describe types and uses of different planning processes.
  • Apply critical development factors used in constructing capital improvement plans.
  • Discover the basic tools for providing good presentations.

Description

This course outlines the different types of plans that utilities may use and why having a vision for your utility is important. You will be given tools to help your utility realize its goals and anticipate the outputs of the planning process, including capital improvement projects. The course also covers the importance of communicating with the public and developing useful presentations.

This course includes the following modules:

Module 1: Planning.

Module 2: Capital Improvement Planning.

Module 3: Communications: Presentations and Outreach.
