The fourth edition incorporates findings and data from the 2020 WRF project 4689 study; the 2016 �??Residential End Uses of Water, Version 2�?� study (WRF project 4309B; DeOreo et al. 2016); and other studies including similar high-resolution demand profiling approaches. The �??Residential End Uses of Water, Version 2�?� study provides an updated and expanded assessment of water use in single-family households across North America and presents detailed information and data about how water use has changed since WRF�??s oft-cited 1999 �??Residential End Uses of Water�?� was published (Mayer et al. 1999). These results and data as well as other entities advancing the knowledge of domestic water usage were used to develop a new methodology and calculator for sizing water meters for single-family and small to mid-sized multifamily buildings. Every chapter in the manual has been updated to include the latest information and guidance, and Chapter 4 has been significantly expanded from earlier editions.
