Description

Join AWWA’s Diversity & Member Inclusion Committee Chair Donnell Duncan for a lively roundtable discussion with Equity, Access, and Community Engagement Strategic Implementation Team members Cheryl Porter, Great Lakes Water Authority COO and AWWA President; Denise Shmidt, Funding Navigator Director of EPIC and Kelley Dearing-Smith, VP - Strategic Communications & Marketing of Louisville Water Company. Together, they will reflect on the progress made on our journey to Water 2050, while looking forward to 2025 and outlining the next phase of action.

Serving as anchor institutions, Water Utilities of 2050 will value communications and community engagement in the same way they value water science and engineering, and employees will serve as ambassadors and champions of water in their communities. To make 2050 a reality, water utilities and the water sector must begin work today.
