C215-99: AWWA Standard for Extruded Polyolefin Coatings for the Exterior of Steel Water Pipelines (PDF)

This standard describes the following two types of coating-system applications: type A, crosshead-die extrusion, consists of an adhesive and an extruded polyolefin sheath; and type B, side extrusion, consists of an extruded adhesive and an extruded polyolefin sheath. The major revisions in this edition of ANSI/AWWA C215-99 include the following: the pipe size for application of type B coating was increased to 146 in. (3,650 mm); type C coating (a tape and side extrusion system) was removed from the standard; and, the physical properties as listed in Tables 1, 2, and 3 were modified to reflect current materials.
