For 30-48 in. size, fittings of all types of joints covered by standard are shown in tables as gray iron and/or ductile iron rated for working pressures of 150 or 250 psi. Included are sections on the following: definitions, general requirements, inspection and certification by manufacturer, inspection by purchaser, delivery and acceptance, tolerances or permitted variations, coatings and linings, markings on fittings, acceptance tests, chemical limitations for gray iron fittings, additional tests by purchaser, defective specimens and retests, and special requirements for flanged fittings.
