This standard covers aluminum sulfate, either purified or unpurified and in lump, ground, or liquid form, for use in the treatment of municipal and industrial water supplies.
Description
The standard is intended for use in connection with Part B (Sampling, Inspection, Packing, and Marking) and Part C (Testing Methods) of this document. On Jan. 26, 1958, approval was given to the revision of B403 for the purpose of incorporating liquid aluminum sulfate in its scope. The changes affected most of Parts A and B, as well as Sec. 2C of Part C. These revisions have been included in the fourth and later printings. The former designation, "B403-54," has been changed to "B403-58."
