AWWA C201-66 Fabricated Electrically Welded Steel Water Pipe (PDF)
SKU: STC_0073078-PDF
This standard covers the manufacture of fabricated straight-butt seam or spiral-butt seam electrically welded steel pipe intended for the conveyance of water, or other special sections that are required for closures, curves, or changes in alignment or grade to meet special conditions. For the purpose of this standard, fabricated pipe shall be defined as steel pipe fabricated from plates or sheets; the properties of the material are determined prior to fabrication. At the option of the contractor, however, and if agreed to by the purchaser, the physical properties of the material may be determined from tests made on specimens taken from the pipe after fabrication.
Description
The latest revisions include the following: provision has been made to permit the contractor to determine the physical properties of the material from test specimens taken from the pipe after fabrication; provision has been made for purchasing the steel on a "chemical basis;" a section on affidavit of compliance has been added; important changes have been made for clarification in Sec. 6.3 regarding condition of pipe at delivery, rejection, and reconditioning; and, several other changes have been made that are editorial in nature or that are for clarification of the intent of the standard. As a result of these revisions, the designation of the standard has been changed from "C201-60T" to "C201-66."
