Major revisions made to this standard in this revision include: the format has been changed to AWWA standard format; a day is defined as a 24-hr. period; a requirement for material to meet Safe Drinking Water Act and other federal requirements was added under Section 4, Requirements; Sec. 5.9, Manufacturing Location Contact for Quality Control Inquiries, was added; and, country of origin was removed from Sec. 6.1, Markings, and replaced with a production facility identification number requirement, which may be the lot number and which is traceable through the supplier to the location of production.
